Our students all arrived in Bangkok on time, and they were met by a welcoming party of 5 people. It was almost midnight by the time we got back to the hotel by van. Then we spent about an hour just winding down and walking around the neighborhood. Everyone went to bed around 1 am.
This morning was a very full day. 3 teachers from hadsamranwittayakom school travelled all the way to Bangkok, a distance of about 836 km. Today, we started early and spent several hours at the Royal Palace, an absolutely fabulous place, visited several Wats (Temples), enjoyed a delicious Thai lunch hosted by the teachers, and finally made it back to our hotel at around 4pm. All of us- except for AJ- were pretty worn out from the heat and the sounds and the smells and the sights.
Tonight, everyone will be going on a special dinner cruise along the river with dancing and celebrateing the new year. Tune in again tomorrow for an update.
AJ has snapped a lot of pictures as we went along and will include a sample on the web.

No telling when I'll get that stuff, but I'll keep an eye out for it. :P
I got a new camera the other day, and I've been snapping some pictures to try it out. Nothing quite as awesome as scenic Thailand just yet, but I had a relatively stress-free New Year's Eve last night at IHOP with some friends. It gave me a chance to get used to some of my camera's features. It's a new Sony Cybershot, by the way. If I ever buy a PSP the memory card (stick) is interchangeable.
Well, before I get too off-subject, I'd better go back to watching the Rose Parade. I wonder what sort of new year's events the rest of the group gets to see?
